Retail Meets Architecture

VivoCity is an iconic retail, entertainment & lifestyle destination that constantly surprises and stimulates visitors with its vibrant mix of retail and entertainment concepts. It features wide, open spaces for waterfront relaxation and entertainment, and a full calendar of exciting festivals and events that will draw both locals and foreign visitors.

Design Concept

The design for VivoCity was inspired by the HarbourFront location of the development, which evokes images of waves in the sea. Each space leads intuitively into the next, creating an enjoyable shopping experience.

VivoCity is designed by internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Toyo Ito, the man behind the renowned Sendai Mediatheque in Japan, known for his signature-style, which focuses on the utilisation of nature, climate and open spaces.

VivoCity is his first major project in Asia outside of Japan, and is set apart from the traditional box format retail developments in the region.

VivoCity is proud to achieve the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award, which recognizes the efforts in driving a more sustainable and friendly environment for our shoppers.
